A new and exciting opportunity at Can Magdale for anyone booking on a yoga retreat with us is that we have an artist living on site and for anyone who is interested he will be offering art lessons.
Justin Hindley is an artist and wood worker living on the island of Mallorca, using nature as his inspiration he works with wood making art and furniture but also using the medium of watercolour.
Justin Hindley studied nature drawing at the Royal College of Art where he was taught by Quentin Blake. He graduated with a distinction and has received several awards for his paintings and illustrations, he has completed paintings for two children's books that tell stories based on the nature and folklore of Ibiza, the first of which has been published at the end of 2021, and is based entirely around our local village of San Miguel (see above). He has taught art at all levels and believes in the significance of creativity in life long learning.
Yoga is an excellent and natural companion to art practice, helping to relax the body and mind and opens channels of creativity. Justin will be living and working on his own art at Can Magdale whilst the retreats are on and anyone can book an art session with him either as a group or 1:1.
Cost: 20 Euros per person per hour.
